So, Jamberry introduced this new TruShine Gel Enamel and I found myself quite curious. So I called my Jamberry hook-up and asked to try it out. I ended up using some hostess rewards to purchase their gel system and I know you’re dying to know my thoughts on it all, so here it goes!
And then open the box inside the box:
And here’s what the Black Cherry enamel looks like on nails:
The gel enamel certainly has a bit of a learning curve to it. You have to use very thin layers, but it’s a thick liquid so that’s a little tricky, but you use a light to “cure” the enamel which makes the whole process go rather quickly. The picture above is a base coat, two coats of color, and a top coat (you have to use the base and top coat together). All in all, it probably took about as long as using a regular nail polish and waiting around for it to dry, except once I was done I was done and free to use my hands.
Obviously I liked it enough to buy it, plus it’s hard to find vegan, gluten-free, cruelty-free nail products so having some more choices is definitely a bonus!
