Sugar Detox Day Three Recap

I did it! Three days, no sugar! Day three actually wasn’t all that bad.

I slept in yesterday because I knew I was going to be staying home with the baby. We had a mostly chill day with some extra baby crankiness, but overall everything went smoothly, and I got an afternoon nap! I had a meeting at church for VBS last night and it was a little hectic to get to on time, but we made it. I even made it home before the boys were done with dinner. Then when I gave the oldest his bath I noticed he had fleas! It was an exhausting process but we got it all combed out of his hair. I was pretty tired after all that, and my husband insisted that I go to bed instead of doing the chores so I’m guessing I was probably pretty grumpy too. (Sorry, sweety!) Overall though, I felt pretty good. Here’s how yesterday went:

Breakfast:

Eggs and tomatoes makes a pretty good breakfast. The baby thought so too; he kept stealing my tomatoes!

Late Morning Workout: I took the baby for a walk around ACU’s Lunsford trail. 2 miles pushing about 50 pounds with the stroller.

Lunch:

I took the baby to Chick-fil-A for lunch. He was tired and cranky so we didn’t really stay very long, but my meal was yummy!

Afternoon Snack: Organic corn tortilla strips. I don’t know if this is technically within the “rules” but there was no sugar listed in the ingredients and zero grams on the nutrition label so I went with it.

Dinner:

Taco Salad: Taco beef, lettuce, tomato, and peas

It was taco night for the boys. I had to eat before the VBS meeting as I was getting really hungry. The taco meat and peas combo was super yummy! I had a second helping after we finally got Alex to bed. (And then finished it off for breakfast this morning.)

Total Calories: 1,618

Calorie Deficit: -42 

Total Carbs: 68 grams

Total Fiber: 14 grams

Total Sugar: 14 grams

Total Protein: 153 grams

Weight Loss: -1.5 pounds since previous day, additional -1.5 after day three

Total Weight Loss for all three days: -3.5 pounds
