Looking for a fun way to present fruit for the kiddos or to impress the other moms at the PTA meeting? Here is a super simple, quick, and easy fruit tray that’s bound to do the trick.
To assemble this easy fruit tray, dump blueberries and blackberries into the upper half for the sky. Mix them up a little with your fingers if you want.
Next, peel and slice kiwi for your grass. This is the most time consuming part of the whole thing.
Add a slice of orange to the upper corner for a sun.
Slice a watermelon into a kinda thick slice, about the width of your thumb. Use a flower shaped cookie cutter to cut out flower shapes. You may need to use a knife to get the shape cut all the way through. This is the hardest part, and it’s basically tracing.
Place your flowers above the grass and you’re done! I had little butterfly cake toppers from a previous cake that I put in there as well when I sent these to the boys’ daycare Easter parties.
It took me less than 20 minutes to do two trays and most of that time was searching for my cookie cutter, but it encourages kids to eat some fruit, and you look like a pretty cool mom as well.
